Foundation in Business Programme is designed to help students secure the knowledge skills and behaviours needed to succeed in higher education and successfully progress on to the Pearson BTEC Higher Nationals in Business qualifications.

Foundation in Business Programme is aimed for students, wanting to continue their education through applied learning on the Pearson BTEC Higher Nationals in Business, but who have not yet sufficiently met direct entry requirements for studying at higher education because they:
- Do not have the right qualifications to meet entry requirements for a BTEC Higher
- National in Business qualification
- Are not yet ready for degree-level study
- Are returning to study and feel they need further learning skills development to support their transition to study on an undergraduate qualification
- Require additional language support to prepare for studying a qualification in English.
The learner is awarded a Foundation in Business certificate award, after successfully completing a total of 6 units.
Students who successfully complete and pass all the 6 units will progress into study on the BTEC Higher Nationals in Business.
Active research skills, effective writing skills, effective presentation skills, IT skills to support business activities, analytical skills, problem-solving, decision-making, team building, digital literacy.

Foundation in Computing (IT)/Graphic Design FAQs
Foundation programmes are courses aiming to provide basic concepts in a given specialty, Computing-IT or Graphic Design required to solve problems in today’s business world. It is intended for learners who would like to open up their minds to creativity/innovation and enhance in this skills.
The course takes two semesters (8 Months)
For a student to enroll in FD Computing or Graphics Programme, you to have IGCSE (O-Level) or basic computer skills with knowledge in reading and writing English
After completion of the course, a student will be able to progress to either Higher National Diploma in Computing or Graphics Design.
The Foundation course is structured to take two semesters where each semester a student is expected to take three modules each module costs 30,000 Kenyan shillings making it a total of 90, 000 Kenyan shillings for tuition per semester. A student can opt to take an extra elective unit and will be billed as per each additional unit.
For you to complete the course you need to have completed and passed six modules as specified in the course structure.
After the course completion the student is awarded a notification of performance certificate
Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business FAQs
A. The Higher National Diploma in Business Programme is designed to help students acquire relevant practical business knowledge and skills in areas such as; Accounting, Finance, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management, Operations Management, Marketing, Human Resource and Business Management.
- BTEC Level 3 qualification in Business, or
- IGCE – ‘A’ level with passes in English and Mathematics, or
- KCSE – C (Plain) with C- in English and Mathematics
- ICT Proficiency – ICDL or any other proof of basic computer literacy
You will be awarded a Higher National Diploma in Business certificate, after successfully completing the programme.
After successfully completing the Higher National Diploma in Business, you can either enroll in a Degree programme in a related area or get employment.

To get an award for the BTEC Higher National Diploma in Computing, you need to have completed all the study requirements for individual units by attending all the necessary classes and submitting all relevant assessments within specified time. Minimum units to be undertaken are 16 based on the standard guideline provided in the BTEC Programme Specification. This takes 2 years (6 terms of study)
BTEC registration lasts for 5 years from the initial registration. You are therefore expected you have met all the requirements for the award to be awarded. However, students are eligible to transfer from other institutions of study or vise visa using same BTEC registration number.
The institution however will request provisional transcripts showing what you have accomplished in your study.
Also a consideration can be made if you have completed your first year of study and met all requirements for BTEC Higher National Certificate award request made for the same.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) FAQs
Yes, CIM qualifications are designed to fit around your busy lifestyle. Currently, owing to the ongoing pandemic, classes are being conducted purely online on a part time basis. Classes are held once a week from 5.30pm- 8.00pm EAT.
Yes, each module can be achieved as an individual award. This allows for a flexible learning experience whereby you can build up to achieving the full qualification in a time frame that suits you.
Self-study is a not an available method of study. To study a CIM qualification, you must be enrolled with a CIM Accredited Study Centre such as INtel College. Studying with INtel College means you can be confident that you will receive the best teaching practices, from qualified marketing professionals.
The prestigious Chartered Marketer status is achieved through a combination of qualifications, experience and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). To become a Chartered Marketer, you must first reach MCIM or FCIM graded membership and then complete two years of consecutive CPD, as well as an online assessment. A CIM qualification at level 6 and 7 will contribute towards your eligibility for graded membership.

Advancing Business Education (ABE-UK) FAQs
INtel College has two intakes for the ABE programme in a year; January and July.
Yes you can still register, but for the next intake. The college has a number of relevant short courses that you can enrol for, as you wait for the next intake.
The college recommends at most four units in one examination session.
There are two windows annually for assessing both exam and assignment units, in June and December. Assignments only, have an additional window for assessment in March
You can book assessments at the next qualification level without having to wait for results from the preceding level or passing all units. For example, if you submit your final units at Level 4 in March, you can book Level 5 assessments for June session, without having received March results.
If there is a problem with your booking, you should email us immediately, confirming the correct units you should be booked for.
You can re-sit an exam or assignment as many times as you need to in order to pass. The college has put in place good support mechanisms to help you successfully pass your assessments.
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) FAQS
To apply, you need to complete the registration form available on the website, upload your supporting documents and pay the registration fee.
The supporting documents include:
- A passport-size photograph
- Proof of identity (copy of birth certificate/national ID card/passport or driving licence)
- Copies of academic certificates and other relevant testimonials
To join the ACCA qualification, a school leaver must have at least 2 A-Level passes and 3 O-Level passes in different subjects. 2 of these subjects should be English and Maths.
For learners who do not meet the above criteria, ACCA offers a suite of Foundation qualifications known as Foundations in Accountancy (FIA).
Completing the diploma level of FIA also enables a learner to become eligible to join the ACCA qualification and claim 3 exemptions from the first 3 papers of ACCA.

INtel College has two ACCA intakes in a calendar year, January and July.
Currently, ACCA classes are offered online. This is in line with the government directive, suspending physical classes in all academic institutions. After the directive is lifted, the college will offer both online and physical classes.
ACCA runs four exam sessions per year. Students can sit for a maximum of four exams at each session, and a maximum of eight exams each calendar year. You could, therefore, complete all ACCA exams in two calendar years.
However, you also need three years of practical experience before you can become an ACCA member and be considered a qualified accountant. Therefore, the qualification takes a minimum of three years.
INtel College is a licensed on-demand CBE centre. You will be required to book for your exam(s) at least 5 days before the date of the exam(s).

International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) FAQS
ICDL is an internationally recognised qualification that enables people to certify their computer skills to an internationally recognised standard. Initially it stood for the International Computer Driving Licence, but now it recognized as -International Certificate of Digital Literacy describes it better.
ICDL Profile is the name of ICDL’s most flexible Programme. It allows you to choose the module combinations best suited to your needs and interests. This can always be discussed with our staff in charge for guidance
With ICDL Profile, you choose the module combinations best suited to you. After passing the tests, those modules then represent your ICDL Profile, which are listed on your ICDL Profile certificate.
Yes. Each candidate is given a unique Candidate Registration Number (CRN). This number allows a candidate to complete their ICDL certification at any ICDL Accredited Test Centre worldwide. Also at INtel College has successfully migrated to the New SkillBox which allows remote administering of exams and supervision. This allows you to take exams at home.
Diagnostic Tests allow a candidate to go through the testing environment in the same setting as the certification test and assess a candidate’s understanding of the particular ICDL module. We recommend a passing rate of 80%+ for the diagnostic test before a candidate is encouraged to sit for the actual ICDL certification test.
The pass mark is 75% for all modules.

Candidates are tested in examination conditions supervised by an ICDL Accredited Tester. Test centres. We use automated test systems which automatically assess the candidates performance on completion of each test. Automated Tests provide immediate feedback to both the centre and the candidate. Candidates must complete one test for each module.
If a candidate feels that he/she will be able to meet the criteria for the tests as set down in the Syllabus he/she can take the tests without the need for training. However, you should be sure that you are ready before sitting the tests and can make request through us and we will register him for the exam.
Professional Education/Short Courses Frequently Asked Questions
Each course takes a total duration of 20 or 30 hours. Each session is 2 hours. The number of sessions per week vary from 2 to 5 session.
The short courses intake is weekly. Confirmation of courses to start are done at least a week prior and schedules sent to the students 3 days to the start date.
There is an assessment at the end of every course which can either be an assignment, project or a sit-in exam
The course helps you to enhance your skills depending on your job requirements personal development on the area of specialization in your career. Others use this for their Career Professional Development (CPD) and are able to share with their employers.
After the assessment is done, the students are provided with a Notification of Performance certificate or Certificate of Participation depending on the course taken.
The courses taken will help you gain skills that will be required for your progression to the next level of academic path.
Each short course costs KShs 15,000 Kenyan shillings for every 20 hour course and there is no admission fees required.
The prerequisite for short courses are dependent on the course itself. More information on this can be provided on request by the Programme Head.
The course allows flexibility in course schedule to cater for those students with other engagements. The schedule is prepared based on the availability of the student. i.e. either evening or day
You need not to bring a laptop for you to take any short course. The College offers the facilities for the students to learn. However due to Covid-19 where earning is happening remotely the student are encouraged to have their own laptops and stable Internet connectivity.
