This information sheet provides a brief of the ICDL Programme offered at INtel College. ICDL is the world's leading computer skills certification. The programme defines the skills and competencies necessary to use a computer and common computer applications. To date more than 14 million people have engaged with the ICDL programme, in over 150 countries, through our network of over 24,000 ICDL Accredited Test Centres (ATCs).
The ICDL offers a wide range of modules including Computer Essentials, Word Processing and IT Security. Candidates take tests in the modules which are most relevant to their educational and professional requirements, thereby creating their ICDL Profile. Whether in school, university or in the workplace, ICDL offers the skills you need to succeed.
INtel College and ICDL Africa work in a collaborative partnership to offer ICDL programme that enables proficient use of ICT that empowers individuals, organisations and society, through the development, promotion and delivery of quality international certification programmes throughout the world.
Recognized by the Government of Kenya. The Minister for Information and Communication amended the ICT Sector Policy Guidelines in November 2009 through a Kenya Gazette notice number 12070. This was done to recognize ICDL as the entry level computer certification designed to demonstrate competence in computer operation.
