The BTEC HND in Computing covers a broad range of
computing principles and applications that are used by
businesses today. In addition, students develop a range
of specialist technical skills in Network Engineering,
Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Security,
Intelligent Systems, and Application Development
relevant to the current requirements of the IT industry.
How am I assessed on the BTEC Higher National Diploma programme ?
Students get to work on real-life scenarios through a
variety of case studies. In their assessments, students
are required to carry out presentations, write reports and
conduct surveys. Other assessments involve keeping log
